CYNA Charter School will be the first full-service educational institution in the area that is founded, maintained, and operated by an organization of color. Our mission is to provide a high-quality, inclusive, and culturally responsive education that empowers students and strengthens the entire community.

Our Mission
The mission of Central New York Academy Charter School (CNYACS) is to improve the quality of life for students in the greater Syracuse community through education, mentorship, core values, and service.

CNYACS will provide all students with high-quality educational opportunities that are directly aligned with the New York State Next Generation Standards across all content areas.
Curriculmn
CNYACS offers an academic program aligned with the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards. Our curriculum ensures students meet or exceed proficiency levels within two years of consistent attendance. We provide rigorous instruction in all core subjects to foster academic excellence. Lessons are designed to support critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Our goal is to equip students with the skills needed for lifelong success. Hands-on and inquiry-based learning approaches enhance student engagement. Every child receives the support needed to reach their full potential.
Parent Participation
Parental involvement is the strongest predictor of student success. CNYACS encourages parents and guardians to actively support learning at home. Engaged parents help foster a lifelong love of education in their children. We provide resources and opportunities for families to participate in school activities. Student Schedules

Student Support
CNYACS ensures every student receives the academic support they need. Our Inclusion Model integrates students with disabilities into mainstream classrooms. We provide services in the least restrictive environment to promote equity. English Language Learners receive daily support from certified ENL teachers. Academic interventions are tailored to each student’s individual needs. Our goal is to create an inclusive, supportive, and accessible learning experience. Every child has the opportunity to succeed.
